Tap the + tab at the bottom of the screen. You can add a recipe manually by typing it in, import from a URL, scan a handwritten card or cookbook page with your camera, or import from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
Open a cookbook, tap the share icon, and enter your family member's email address. They'll receive an invitation to join. You can grant them view-only or full editing access.
The free plan includes up to 5 cookbooks and unlimited manually entered recipes. Paid plans unlock unlimited cookbooks, URL import, social media import (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube), AI-powered photo and handwritten card extraction, and priority AI processing. See our full pricing at gigicc.com.
Cookbook features are governed by the owner's plan. If you own a cookbook on a paid plan, anyone you invite gets full access to that cookbook — even if they're on the free plan. The Family plan supports up to 6 members sharing a single subscription.
Yes — on any paid plan you can paste a URL from virtually any recipe website and Gigi will automatically extract the ingredients and instructions into a clean recipe card. This feature requires a Single, Family, or higher subscription.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). To cancel, go to your device's subscription settings and cancel from there. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods, but if you have a billing issue please email us and we'll do our best to help.
AI extraction isn't perfect — some websites and videos are harder to parse than others. You can always edit the recipe manually after import to correct any errors. If a site consistently fails to import, let us know at [email protected] and we'll look into it.
Yes. Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure) with encrypted transmission and strict access controls. We never sell your data. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from within the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your recipes, cookbooks, and personal data within 30 days.
If you're unable to access the app, email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we will process it manually within 5 business days.
